The Happiness Project

Author: Gretchen Rubin
Review Date: 9 July 2014

One afternoon while on the bus, Gretchen Rubin asked herself what she wanted from life - the answer was ‘I want to be happy’. As a result she decided to dedicate a year to a happiness project. She set out on a year-long quest to learn how to better enjoy the life she had. Each month she would pursue a different set of resolutions (get more sleep, take on a nagging task, bring people together etc.) She read widely (philosophy, scientific studies, Winston Churchill, Oprah) to develop her own definition of happiness and a plan to achieve it. Gretchen’s story will inspire you to embrace the pleasure in your life.
